These sounds appeared automatically in the 1950s and ’60s, due to the low quality of recording equipment that was available at the time. But today, this type of sound is intentionally used to create a new genre of music.

This video was posted to the Jacknjellify X and TikTok account on July 5, 2020 with the text "Eraser swings. Eraser MISSES!" In the video, Eraser is seen walking up to a target with a bowl of darts in his hands. He drops the bowl, takes one dart out of the bowl, and throws it. He misses the shot and the dart lands on the grass. Music Lo-Fi Eraser then takes a couple more darts and throws them. One hits the ground, three hits the board, and one dart hits the board, but bounces off and lands on the ground.

The names of the animations has Music Lo-Fi never been given an official name stated either in the Battle for Dream Island series, or by Jacknjellify; the current one is unofficial.
